Slot blocks — reading each calendar card
What every piece of information on a slot block means
03

Boat name — in the vessel's accent colour.
Pickup location — the departure wharf for this slot, truncated if long.

Status tags — colour-coded pills: ✓ Confirmed (blue), ⚓ Private event (green), 🔒 Blocked (grey), ✗ Cancelled (red), Maintenance Scheduled / Partner Confirmed (slate).
Custom location tag — amber pill "Custom loc. +$150" appears when custom pickup/dropoff is enabled for the slot.
Booked hours — red pill showing how many hours within this slot are already booked.
⧉ Copy button — top-right corner, only visible on hover. Opens the copy slot modal without opening the full edit modal.

Calendar page · Slot create/edit modal
Slot modal — core fields
Vessel, date, time, and the required fields for any slot
06
Same modal for create and edit — the title changes ("Add availability slot" vs "Edit slot") but the fields are identical. Edit mode has an additional Delete button in the footer.
Vessel selector — selecting a vessel auto-fills the pickup and dropoff locations from the boat's saved default marina or berth. Also prefills min hours and the seasonal price override.
Date — date picker, minimum today. Changing the date recalculates the seasonal price override based on multipliers.
From / To times — set the charter window. From and To cannot be equal.
Price override — leave blank to use the vessel's default hourly rate with your account multipliers. Enter a value to set a specific price for this slot. A warning appears if the override is below the vessel's default rate.
Min hours — minimum booking duration for this specific slot. Prefilled from the vessel's setting.
Auto-prefill: When you select a vessel, the price override is automatically set to base × seasonal multiplier for the chosen date. Clear it to revert to the default rate.

07
Charter slot — the default. Makes this time available for client bookings on the marketplace. Shows pickup/dropoff, custom location, boarding, and booking status settings.
Maintenance slot — blocks the vessel for servicing or repairs. Hidden from customer search. Only shows pickup location (service location), and a simple Service Status selector (Scheduled / Partner Confirmed / Cancelled). Displayed in grey on the calendar with a 🛠️ prefix.
Fields hidden in maintenance mode — dropoff location, custom location toggles, min hours, boarding buffer, early access, and booking type/private label are all hidden since they don't apply.
Crew section in maintenance — still available in edit mode but relabelled "Assigned Partners" to reflect service partners rather than charter crew.

Slot modal · Weather advisory
Weather advisory inside the slot modal
Forecast for the selected slot date shown before you save
08
Appears when a date is selected — the weather card and alert are inserted in the modal, between the date picker and the vessel selector.
Weather card — shows the BOM forecast for that date: temperature, wind speed and direction, and gust maximum.
Alert banner — appears below the card for windy (20–29 km/h) or dangerous (30+ km/h) days. Warns you that the slot may not be suitable and suggests reconsidering.
Also on the calendar — weather pills on each day header, and advisory strips under the header for windy/dangerous days in week view. Month view shows a wind speed badge per day cell.
Note: Weather is informational only — you can still save a slot on a dangerous day. Use your own judgement based on the vessel type and conditions.

Select where clients board and disembark for this slot
09
Marina picker component — not a plain text input. Selecting a vessel unlocks a searchable marina selector with a map. Disabled with placeholder "Select a vessel first" until a vessel is chosen.
Auto-fill from boat settings — when you select a vessel, the pickup and dropoff fields are pre-filled with the vessel's saved default marina name, or the berth name + suburb if no marina default is set.
★ Make default pickup / dropoff — a gold button appears after you change the marina selection in Create mode. Clicking it saves the chosen marina as the vessel's default for future slots.
Refused marinas — any marinas you've blocked on the vessel's edit page are hidden from the picker options for that vessel.
