Staff invite activation tutorial

This page is used when a staff member receives an invitation from an operator. It confirms the invitation details, verifies the staff member’s email with a one-time code, activates the account, and then sends the staff member to their crew dashboard.

Accept an operator’s crew invitation and activate the staff account

This page opens from a staff invitation link.
The logo shows Bookmywave Crew, so the user knows they are activating a crew account.
The invitation screen shows who invited the staff member and what role they were invited for.
The email box confirms which email address will receive the code.
The verification step uses a 6-digit code sent to the staff member’s email.
After activation, the page confirms success and then opens the crew dashboard.

Step 1: open the invitation link from the operator.
Step 2: check the operator name, email address and crew role.
Step 3: click Verify email & activate account.
Step 4: enter the 6-digit code sent to the email address shown on screen.
Step 5: click Activate account and wait for the dashboard redirect.

The user should wait until the invitation details, error message, or sign-in option appears.
If the screen does not progress, the user can refresh or ask the operator to send a new invitation link.

What to do when the invite cannot be accepted

This message appears when the invitation link is missing, invalid or already used.
The user cannot continue from this screen.
Ask the operator for a new invitation link if the account still needs to be activated.
Common reason: the link was already accepted earlier, expired, copied incorrectly or opened without the full invite link.

This screen appears when the staff account has already been activated.
No new code is required.
Click Sign in to go to the staff login page.
Meaning: the invitation has already done its job; the staff member should log in normally.

Confirm the operator, email and role before continuing

You've been invited confirms that the invitation link is valid.
Operator name shows who invited the staff member.
Role shows the role the operator assigned, such as Deckhand, Skipper or Cleaner.
Your email shows the email address that will receive the one-time code.
Your role is repeated in its own box so the user can check it clearly.
Verify email & activate account sends the one-time code and moves the user to the code screen.
The fine print tells the user that the code will be sent to their email to verify identity.

Only numbers are kept if the user types or pastes other characters.
Maximum length is 6 digits.
The large spacing makes the code easier to read.
The blue border appears when the input is active.

Check the email inbox for the latest code before trying again.
Use Back to return to the previous screen and request the email code again.
Important: if repeated attempts fail, ask the operator to confirm the invited email address or issue a new invitation.
