Start here to understand what you can do

Maintenance Logbook is the main heading for fleet service records and compliance history.
Access legend shows your access level for the first few boats listed.
Green dot means you can edit records for that boat.
Grey dot means you can read records but cannot edit them.
+ New log entry appears only when you have edit access to at least one boat.

Some boats can be viewed only; others can be updated

View access lets you open and read maintenance records.
Edit access lets you add records, edit existing records and upload files for that boat.
Edit button only appears on rows where you have edit permission.
New log entry only appears when at least one boat is editable.
Important: If you cannot see Edit or New log entry, you probably only have read access for those boats.

Boat name tells you which boat needs attention.
Maintenance title tells you what kind of service or check is due.
Due today appears when the reminder is due now.
Day count shows how many days remain before the item is due.

Choose a boat to see records for one vessel only.
All categories shows every kind of maintenance record.
Choose a category such as Engine, Hull, Electrical, Safety, Plumbing, Rigging, Cosmetic or Other.
Filters can be combined, for example one boat plus Engine records only.

Read service history at a glance

Date shows when the service or maintenance work was performed.
Boat / Title shows the maintenance title and vessel name.
Category is colour labelled to help identify the type of work quickly.
Engine hrs shows recorded engine hours when relevant.
Next due shows the next reminder date. Green means upcoming; red means overdue.
Files shows how many attachments are saved with the record.
Actions let you View the record or Edit it if you have permission.

Open the drawer to inspect details and files

Click View to open the record drawer from the right side of the screen.
The drawer title shows the maintenance record title.
Boat and date are shown under the title for quick context.
Detail fields include service date, engine hours, cost and next due date.
Description and internal notes appear when they were entered.
Attachments appear as image previews or PDF buttons.
Close the drawer with the ✕ button or by clicking outside the drawer.

New log entry opens a form for a new maintenance record.
Edit opens the same form with the existing record filled in.
Required fields are Boat, Category, Title and Service Date.
Boat is chosen from boats you can edit. When editing, the boat is locked.
Category classifies the work, such as Engine, Hull, Electrical or Safety.
Title and description explain what work was done.
Engine hours and cost are optional record details.
Next due reminder can be set by date or engine hours.
Internal notes store private maintenance notes for the team.
Save entry saves the record and refreshes the table.

Attach proof and supporting documents to maintenance records

Add photo or PDF lets you upload maintenance evidence.
Photos are useful for damage, repairs, part replacement and before/after records.
PDF files are useful for receipts, invoices, service reports and compliance documents.
Only images and PDFs are accepted.
File size limit is 20MB per file.
Remove file appears as a floating ✕ on editable attachments.
File count appears in the table so users can see which records have attachments.

No maintenance logs found appears when there are no records matching the current filters.
Clear the filters by returning to All boats and All categories.
Add a new record if the boat has no maintenance history yet and you have edit access.
Ask the operator if you believe records should be visible but you cannot see them.
